Good value for the price
My 2 month old loves this mobile. He seems to be fascinated with the highly contrasting colors of the pictures that can be swapped in/out. It attaches easily to a changing table or crib with slats. The only negative side to this mobile is that it doesn't move on its own, but we knew that when it was purchased. I suppose if a fan were directed towards it, it would move and be even more fun for our baby.
My baby's absolute favorite thing to look at!
Seriously, as soon as we put this over my son's changing table his eyes lit up and his feet started kicking so furiously it was obvious how much he loved it! We've had it for about 3 weeks now and every single time I put him on the changing table he gets just as excited and smiles at it!
Be forewarned, it does not turn so the only movement it gets is from my son kicking which rocks it a bit but that has not taken from his love of this toy! Yes, it is a little cheaply made and if you were motivated enough and had the time on your hands you could make something similar yourself, but I'm very happy with it overall and my son just adores this mobile!
Excellent Mobile - my infant LOVES it!
This mobile is fantastic. It's very basic - it doens't play music or rotate - it just displays pictures for your child to gaze at. When first born you can put in the more basic pictures that are mainly black and white. As they get a little older you can switch these out to pictures that provide more stimulation due to the multiple colors (or just change them periodically for some variety - who wants to look at the same images all the time?). My son loves this, and when he gets up in the morning I find him gazing and giggling at his mobile! My mother was insistent that I get this mobile, and not a cutesy one with stuffed animals that would provide no stimulation - and I am glad I listened to her. My son loves this mobile. Sometimes in the afternoon when I have chores to do, I'll put on some classical music and put him in his crib for a bit and he stares at the mobile happy as can be! I highly recommend this mobile.
My son loves this...
Before I had my son I was a nanny for a 3 month old little girl. As she grew she loved this mobile so much she would shriek at it and smile at it. So when I got pregnant I KNEW I would be buying this. It hasnt failed me. My son can spend 20-30 minutes in his crib "talking" to this mobile. He is nearly 3 months now. He started noticing it at about 4-6 weeks. my only c omplaint is that if I put him down for a nap and he opens his eyes instead of going back to sleep this thing can stimulate him awake again!! So I often remove it after he falls asleep ;) which is easy with the links... Definitely a bargain. It is a little flimsy howeer, I feel like I'm going ot break the cards when I change them, haven't yet though.
Difficult to change pictures
I like that this mobile is not over-stimulating like most mobiles. My daughter really enjoyed it from about one month old to four months old at which time she became disinterested.
A major drawback for me is that it is very difficult to change the images. It takes time, effort, and sore hands to interchange the pictures.
Overall, I would still probably prefer this mobile to more traditional mobiles that have loud music and less stimulating objects to look at, like small stuffed animals.
