Son loves his Taggie blanket!
Our infant enjoys his bibs and rubs the tags, so we thought the Taggie blanket would work well for him. He loves it. The tags have different textures, and images, so it keeps our son's interest. It's been washed numerous times, and the tags are durably in place, and the blanket is still soft.


I'd stay away from the Taggie book. We received it as a gift. The book is a board book with tags sticking out of the sides. So the book gets wet from drool, and the child can't cuddle with a book. The blanket is a much better choice.

I BOUGHT THIS ITEM B/C BABIES DO LOVE THE TAGS ON THINGS BUT THIS EVENING MY 4 MONTH OLD ALMOST SUFFOCATED BECAUSE OF IT! I LOOKED OVER TO HER SITTING ON THE HER BOUNCY SEAT TO FIND THE 12 X 12 BLANKET COMPLETELY OVER HER FACE AND HEARD HER GASPING FOR AIR! I RUSHED OVER TO HER AND THANK GOD SHE WAS AND IS OK! I JUST WENT ON THE TAGGIES WEBSITE TO FIND THE BLANKET IS RECOMMENDED FOR ALL AGES AND IS APPROVED BY JMPA, TIA AND ICPHSO. I AM SURE MY BABY IS NOT THE FIRST TO HAVE THIS HAPPEN AND I WOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT BUYING THIS ITEM FOR A BABY DESPITE IT BEING RECOMMENDED FOR ALL AGES. THIS ALSO GOES TO SHOW THAT EVEN THOUGH AN ITEM IS APPROVED BY VARIOUS SAFETY ORGANIZATIONS, THAT MAY NOT MEAN THE ITEM IS IN FACT SAFE.

Dangerous Lovey
This security blanket may turn into a child's and parent's worst nightmare. Children can and do get their fingers into the loops and then proceed to twist them. Often times they twist it so tightly that not only can they not get their fingers out without adult assistance, they cut off circulation to their finger in the process. This requires immediate medical attention. In fact, there is a manufacturing law that prohibits looped tags on children's clothing, accesories, and toys due to the health issue and the danger involved. I wouldn't want to see anymore children loose fingers over this severe safety issue. RN in Virginia

Unique & Loved Gift
My daughter who is now 2 1/2 received a taggie from her Aunt in Chicago. I had never seen it before, but I instantly thought it to be a great idea. My daughter did not fall in love with it right away, but I always kept it in her crib. Now every time she gets in or out of her crib she must have Taggie, Elmo, Bear... in that order. She used it when she was teething, she used it to play peek-a-boo and she used it as comfort. My son came 14 months after her and I made sure I bought one for him. Now at 1 he is starting to fall in love with his. So not only is this a unique gift, but it is a gift that most children will cherish.

A MUST HAVE
My third child received a little Taggie for a gift and has loved it since she was several months old. At 21 months now, she still uses it to got to sleep. She sticks a finger from each hand into 2 favorite tags. She looks for the specific tages she loves. It's really cute and soft and easy to wash. If your child ends up loving one, you might get a second one in case the first is ever lost or dirty. Highly recommended product!
